Our Passion

Maintenance is an ongoing challenge. We’ve seen this through the years, not only from inspecting thousands of homes in our home inspection business, but through purchasing and maintaining both personal and investment properties. Our adventure together started in 2005 when we purchased our first single family residence. It was a log cabin and had many unique aspects that we simply did not understand. Fortunately, with Jon’s background in construction we were able to navigate and educate ourselves on how to properly maintain and also improve this type of home. 

Fast forward … as we inspected homes with all types of homeowners and buyers – both new and seasoned, there was a common thread that we continued to see. There’s not an easy fix-it-and-forget-it home maintenance program to be followed. Unlike our vehicles, where we have been trained to check the oil periodically, have a state inspection, and complete the recommended car maintenance mileage checks; no such protocol exists for residential homes. Home maintenance is completely up to the homeowner. 

Home maintenance isn’t easy – and it’s not always intuitive. The mission of our home inspection company is to provide a service with a strong focus on holistic home education, which will empower our clients to make informed, fact-based decisions as they buy, own, and maintain safe and healthy homes for their families.
